10/14/2009 - Simply Bits customers should beware of a SPAM email that is currently circulating. The email subject line is "The settings for the @simplybits.net were changed" and has your Simply Bits email address in the subject line. The return address is "info@simplybits.net". The body of the email message starts off with:

Dear user of the simplybits.net mailing service!

We are informing you that because of the security upgrade of the
mailing service your mailbox () settings were changed. In order to
apply the new set of settings click on the following link:
---------------------------------------------

The email goes on to show a link to a remote website.

DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK!!
This is a deliberate attempt to gain unauthorized access to your computer

If you or someone you know has received this email and inadvertantly followed the link you should contact your computer support person as you may have become infected with a computer virus or some other form of malware or spyware.
