8.3 Misc - How do I setup a PPTP/VPN between my home and workplace?

The following instructions were written for Windows XP. If you need further assistance you should contact the IT person for your business.

1. Start, Settings, Control Panel, Network Connections;
2. Create a New Connection;
3. Click "Next" on the welcome screen;
4. Choose "Connect to the network at my workplace";
5. Choose Virtual Private Network Connection;
6. Enter the name of your business;
7. Select Do not dial the initial connection;
8. Enter the IP adddress or the URL provided by your IT person for VPN connectivity;
9. Choose My Use Only;
10. Select Add shortcut to desktop;
11. Click thew newly created icon on your desktop and enter your username and password;
12. Click Connect.
