6.2 FaxToGo - Faxes forwarded from Outlook Express to someone else cannot be opened or viewed


Problem: You receive your faxes with Outlook Express. You forwarded the entire email and attachment to someone else. They cannot view or open the attachment.

Cause: Outlook Express changes the encoding type

Solution: Change the encoding type
  1. Click on Tools, Options;
  2. Go to the Send tab;
  3. Under Mail Sending Format, change teh type from HTML to Plain Text;
  4. Click on the Plain Text Settings box;
  5. Make sure the message format is set to MIME;
  6. Apply changes and click OK.
