4.8 DSL - How to configure an Actiontec M1000


The Actiontech M1000 documentation can be found on the Qwest website. You will need to access the advanced settings in order to configure the modem.

  1. Plug your computer into the DSL modem;
  2. Open a web browser and type the address 192.168.0.1 into the address bar;
  3. Go to the Advanced Setup;
  4. Select the following to enable your connection along with your login name and password:
Protocol: PPPoA
IP Address: Dynamic
Encapsulation: VC-MUX

Save and reboot.
